Glass Break: Native Collaborations

Native Collaborations

Dan Friday, glass artist and a member of the Lummi Nation, will be joining us for the return of Glass Break. His work features Native themes in modern interpretations and has relied on frequent collaborations with generations of artists working in weaving, bentwood box making, and carved sculptures. These collaborations will be featured in Translations: An Exploration of Glass by Northwest Native Carvers and Weavers opening at MOG in April of 2019.

What is Glass Break?

Glass Break is a mid-day series of conversations with artists and thinkers, giving their insights into the works and world of glass art. These 30-minute talks are held in the MOG theater. Bring your own food, or grab a bite from Choripan, the museum café. Admission is $5. Soft drinks, water, and cookies provided.
