Blown Away: Viewing Party + Q&A

Join Pilchuck Glass School, Hilltop Artists, and Museum of Glass for a Q&A conversation and viewing party for Netflix's new reality series, Blown Away. The first competition-style reality series for glass art, Blown Away features 10 highly skilled glassmakers from across North America competing for a chance to win a week long “Blown Away Residency” at The Corning Museum of Glass.

Katherine Gray, glass artist and judge, Christopher R. Taylor, Executive Director at Pilchuck Glass School and guest judge, and Edgar Valentine, Tacoma-based glass artist and contestant, will reflect on the experience in a conversation moderated by Museum of Glass Curator Katie Buckingham as we lead into a screening of the premiere episode.

As part of MOG’s Third Thursday programming admission to the screening and Museum is free from 5-8 p.m. So, join us for viewing then stay to enjoy Chopper’s Brass Quartet in the Grand Hall, and live glassblowing in the Hot Shop.

Beer and wine will be available for purchase.
