Glass Break: Longhouse Education Center

Glass Break returns to Museum of Glass, at a new time: Every Third Thursday of the Month. This informal conversation series lasts about 30 minutes and brings interesting people and ideas to the stage in the Museum Theater — free to the public.

Vice President of Indigenous Arts and Education, Evergreen State College, Tina Kuckkahn-Miller, will talk about the importance of the Longhouse Educational and Cultural Center at The Evergreen State College, the first building constructed on a public campus based on Native American traditions. This important center is a bridge of understanding between regional Native and non-Native people and has an active Artists-in-Residence program for Native artists working in basketry, woodcarving, and glass.
