Venice was an unlikely place to make the finest glass the world has ever known. Despite limited natural resources, it had no rival in technical refinement or beauty for 400 years. This story is one of art, war, commerce, and intrigue.
Explore the rich history of glass with presentations from artist and scholar Walter Lieberman. Each talk will begin at 2pm in the Hot Shop and coincide with demonstrations of the techniques used by our Hot Shop Team during the day. Lieberman has been working in glass for 40 years. He is most known for painting on glass with layers of enamel and as half of WD40+ with Dick Weiss.
