Fifth Anniversary Celebration Weekend

10 am – 5 pm Friday and Saturday; 12 – 5 pm Sunday

Join us for a weekend of celebration! Come to the Cone for $5 admission all weekend long. Watch Visiting Artist Martin Blank in the Hot Shop as he creates glass elements for a future outdoor installation, preview our new Mobile Hot Shop and experience our Fifth Anniversary exhibition, Mining Glass. Other festivities include hands-on art activities and storytelling sessions for families; showings of the Museum’s original film, Fire Gods: A Short Animated History of Glass; lectures by artists Preston Singletary (Saturday) and Martin Blank (Sunday); the annual Museum Store Tent Sale (Saturday); poetry readings in the galleries; flame-working and break dancing demonstrations in the Grand Hall; and special cone-themed treats on the plaza. Walk across the Chihuly Bridge of Glass to the Washington State History Museum and Tacoma Art Museum who are also offering $5 admission for the weekend.
